The real name of this church is San Francesco, but is better known as San’Antonino church.
Located in the main square of the city, it’s bell tower was one of the city towers, the monastery was in fact enclosed to the city ancient walls .
It was once a dense and ancient forest which was burned down to make space for the construction of the complex in 1362, of all those oak trees, it remain only one in the covent cloister .
The complex was dedicated to San Francesco and was completely rebuilt in 1764 and then restored in 1797. In ancient time by the main altar stood a statue and a huge painting of the Immaculate Conception .
